What are Memorial Rocks?
A memorial rock is a very personal way to memorialize the life of a loved one. Manufactured from construction grade precast stone, memorial rocks reflect perfectly the natural shapes and textures of rocks found around the garden. Memorial Rocks: Rocks with hollow interiors
Memorial rocks are more than just precast simulated rocks. Underneath their weathered-looking exteriors memorial rocks have hollow interiors capable of concealing the cremated remains of a loved one.
For this to work well, memorial rocks come with the option of having a watertight cremation urn hidden within the memorial rock. The urn is of sufficient capacity to hold the full volume of cremated remains of one individual, and will withstand weather extremes for decades, if not centuries.
Of course, a memorial rock does not have to be used as a container in which to preserve the ashes of the deceased. memorial rocks can just as well be used as ground markers, defining the place where cremation urns are buried, or simply as commemorative memorials courtesy of personalized plaques mounted on their surfaces.
Personalized Plaques on Memorial Rocks
Most memorial rock suppliers provide the option for a small plaque to be inset into the memorial rock surface. Typically, the plaque will be 7.5" x 5" in size, and cast from bronze for durability and long life.
On a 7.5" x 5" plaque there is adequate space for around 8 lines of lettering at 40 or 45 characters per line. The plaque may also be decorated with fine detail around its edges, and will certainly be finished to a high standard.
